From design to implementation - everything from a single source

As a manufacturer with a high in-house production depth, PoVoTec supports the entire machine development process: from conception to commissioning. The design is carried out using modern 3D CAD and PDM systems, whereby all roller sets and drive groups are individually designed to meet your requirements. Our machines are manufactured entirely at our plant in Eslohe – including CNC-controlled production, toolmaking, assembly and quality assurance.

Customized instead of standard - machines exactly for your profile

Every trapezoidal sheet profiling machine is developed to order. We do not manufacture standard models, but build your machine based on the desired profile height, sheet width, material type and production quantity. This results in a precisely fitting solution that is neither oversized nor undersized. The focus is on the optimum combination of costs, process reliability and technical design – for new systems as well as for extensions to existing lines.

Cassette systems for quick tool changes

The heart of our trapezoidal sheet profiling machines is the modular cassette system. The complete roller group can be exchanged with just two crane movements – regardless of whether there are two or 56 stations. Different cassette types are available: The PS130 is suitable for smaller strip widths and material thicknesses of up to 1.5 mm, while the reinforced PS400 cassette is designed for sheet thicknesses of up to 4 mm and strip widths of up to 600 mm.

Drive systems & control technology

Our machines can be equipped with servo or three-phase drives. Depending on your requirements, we can configure the machines with one servo per shaft, one servo for 8 stations or a gear drive with a 1:1 ratio. The machines are controlled via modern PLC systems, which can also be prepared for remote diagnostics or ERP interfaces on request. This increases system availability and reduces downtimes during operation.

Expandability and integration

Thanks to their modular design, our machines can be expanded without the need for complex conversions. Additional stations or cutting modules can be integrated via plug-in connections. Retrofitting with new cassette types or automation modules is also possible. Integration into existing production lines or existing production systems is part of our daily business.

Strip materials and sheet thicknesses at a glance

Our roll forming machines for trapezoidal sheet metal are designed for a wide range of primary materials. These include galvanized and untreated sheet steel, stainless steel, aluminium, coated sheet metal and materials with protective films. The material thicknesses vary between 0.07 mm and 4 mm, depending on the type of machine. Dimensional accuracy and surface quality are reliably maintained, even with sensitive materials.

Profile geometries according to specification

The belt widths with which our machines work range up to 600 mm. Depending on your requirements, we manufacture individual trapezoidal shapes, tailored to the web height, pitch angle and shaft depth. Our team develops custom-fit roller sets for every cross-section. Thanks to our in-house toolmaking facilities, we can react flexibly to requirements and also implement changes in a short space of time.

Process reliability even with varying batch sizes

Thanks to the high repeat accuracy and the use of digital set-up sheets, even smaller series can be produced economically. This reduces stock levels and increases flexibility in your production planning. Our machines are designed to deliver consistent quality even with changing orders – without long set-up times or run-in phases.

The development time depends on the complexity of the profile and the scope of the project. As a rule, the time between order and delivery is around 4 to 6 months.

Can existing machines be converted to trapezoidal sheet metal?

Yes, many systems can be technically retrofitted – either with new cassettes, roller sets or drive modules. We check each third-party system individually for feasibility and cost-benefit ratio.

How many tools can be changed per machine?

This depends on the selected cassette concept. Our PS400 profiling machine is available with 32 interchangeable cassettes, for example, so that a wide range of variants can be produced as required – with minimal time expenditure.
